Lanework
In pursuit of the perfect kanban.
Lanework is a native Mac kanban whose boards are plain folders of Markdown. Fast to drive, lovely to look at, and yours to keep.
Join the free betaYour board is a folder.
Every board, lane and card is a folder with an index.md
inside. Open one in TextEdit, change a word, and the card changes on the
board. Delete the app and your boards are still just folders.
Folders are named by ID. Each title is read from the folder’s index.md.
--- title: "Pick countertop material" labels: [{text: "Budget", color: "smokey-tangerine"}] … --- Quartz or butcher block. Samples arrive Friday.

Works with your agents.
Because boards are plain files, anything that reads files can use them: git, scripts, and AI agents like Claude Code or Codex. Every board carries its own guide for agents, and you see their changes land live, attributed and nothing overwritten.
Public endpoints currently have no throttling. Add a per-key limit and return 429 with a Retry-After header.
Can you take this one? We want it in before the beta invites go out.
Added rate limiting middleware with a sliding-window counter backed by Redis, plus tests.
